I have 2 years of teaching basic web design and 5 years in web and software applications, design, user experience research and production. I have Hands-on knowledge of user-centered design process from research, concepting, interaction, and visual design to prototyping, production and usability testing. I am familiar with Macintosh and Windows OS, hand-coded HTML, and software including Adobe Dreamwaver BBEdit, Textedit, Illustrator, Photoshop, ImageReady, Processing, Director, some Flash, and Acrobat. 1996-2000 Manpower, resource manager, Quality Assurance tester-lowest discrepancy rates 1997. 5 years of experience with MSDS and QA directives and OSHA guidelines. Recommended digital versus analog equipment from 1996-2000 saving 300,000. CCTV shop supervisor managed million dollar budgets/reports. Filmed and edited all major shipboard evolutions, ceremonies and burials at sea as MWR representative, also pushed for using (then new) digital imaging technologies, saving the ship tens of thousands of dollars in film developing costs over the equipment’s lifecycle. Monitored base-band video signal generation, processing, and storage; perform preventive and corrective maintenance on black/white and color video cameras, receivers, and recorders; and apply appropriate theory to the operation and maintenance of RF transmission, reception, and distribution systems.

Isolated and repaired malfunctions in common electronic circuits; and determined types of acceptable substitute components; checks operating logs and maintenance records; *Prepared weekly reports and maintenance schedules; supervised five Interior Communications Electricians. *Achieved outstanding scores during shipboard evaluation periods for the following: Operated and performed maintenance on voice interior communications systems, alarm, warning and indicator systems, ship's control, plotting, gyrocompass and entertainment systems with little to no down time during 4 year tour. *Operated electronic test and metering equipment, including multimeter, voltmeter, ammeter, ohmmeter, oscilloscope, signal generator, frequency meter, vacuum tube voltmeter, and megger; made standard wire splice; troubleshoot and repaired synchro systems; inspected, tested, maintained general announcing systems and sound-powered telephone systems; cleans and inspects plotters and dead reckoning equipment; tests external circuits of interior communications equipment for continuity, short circuits, and grounds and measures electrical quantities.
